| About myself |
I'm quiet, unassuming, laid back. I'm confident in my own haphazard way. I am fairly insular and I take a while to trust people and make good friends. I'd like to think that I'm trustworthy and friendly, but attributes such as those are for others to decide on their truthfulness and integrity.Music: I listen to a lot of music, mainly English folk and folk rock. I like American folk and some Celtic too. But I enjoy a number of other types of music. From my youth, I still listen to Blondie, Jam and the Clash. 60's bands that I like are the Beatles, Zombies, Kinks, Small Faces, Sandie Shaw, Dusty Springfield, Billie Davis. Again there's a stack of 60's bands that I enjoy. These days my main choices would be: Kate Rusby, Sandy Denny, Fairport Convention (and other Fairport related), Nanci Griffith, Donna the Buffalo, Tara Nevins, Pink Floyd, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Led Zeppelin, Diana Krall, Lucy Kaplansky, Mark knopfler, Dire Straits, Show of Hands. Bic Runga There's a lot of others too. I'm always keen to listen to new stuff as long as it's non chart material or nothing over commercialised. Let's add the Fleet Foxes to my list of music! To my 60's list... Helen Shapiro, Susan Maughan, Billie Davis, Sandie ShawTV: Not a great tv watcher, but I like some comedy and Big Brother.Books: I've read loads of books of all types. There is not one fave, but I do like Robert GoddardSports: Severiano "Seve" Ballesteros. More than a great golfer... a great person too. Sir Henry Cooper. A great man, a British legend. West Ham United, Moseley Rugby, Warwickshire CricketInterests: I enjoy preserved railways. I would like to visit every one in the UK during my lifetime. I've done... er.... ok... it's only 4 so far, but then I don't drive so it can be hard to get to them. I will manage somehow! I like to play simulators on my pc, usually train simulator or flight simulator. Other than that I play mainly mystery, strategy and rpg pc games. I cycle to work. I enjoy some photography. I go to watch rugby. I support Moseley who are in national league one. Football would be my first love, but rugby is cheaper and there is no hassle and no segregation. You can drink and have a laugh without any threat of violence. Moseley has a friendly social club atmosphere. It's relaxed, laidback and thoroughly enjoyableMovies: Movies come and go... but... When the Wind Blows the most poignant film I've ever seen.BestFeatures: Legs because I cycle to work most days!
